Getting My Ends In Order

I’ve had the conversation many times before about weaving in ends. Personally, I don’t think that a project is truly finished until ALL the ends are woven in and you can no longer tell where the project started and where it ended.

As a crocheter and a person who likes to use all the colors in one project I typically have quite a few ends to weave in. I won’t lie and say that I necessarily look forward to weaving them in but at the end of the day I know it needs to get done.

Whether I have just a few or many there’s something calming and therapeutic about knowing I’m almost across the finish line.

Last night as I was weaving in the ends of my first ever cardigan, I couldn’t help but think about the fact that I need to get my life in order too. Naturally as a geriatric millennial this is a thought that haunts me daily but as I took my time making sure my ends were secure I thought about what kind of patience and grace I could use to combat those thoughts. I’m learning to take my time. I’m learning to enjoy the process.

I am essentially a never ending WIP. The Lord is always working on me. Will this WIP ever get done? Maybe not. Does this WIP have a crap ton of potential? Hell yeah!

Weave in your ends and don’t be raggedy. Love you!
